As an admirer from the very beginning, I am convinced that it is not only talent and creativity that are important for creating beauty, but also determination and perseverance. Each picture offers a new perspective on the familiar buildings of the LKH-Univ. Klinikum Graz. Every day, our employees, patients, and visitors walk past them, in and out—often without really noticing the buildings. The pictures invite you to rediscover our buildings. Gebhard Falzberger
The first glance at the artwork reveals the familiar, which one perhaps perceives consciously or unconsciously every day on the way to work in the "real world." The genius of the artwork then becomes apparent to the viewer at second glance, who is captivated by the careful emphasis on details that bring out the beauty of the moment or simply of the captured object even better than reality itself ever could. Hans Peter Dimai
I was very surprised at how camouflage with color and mechanical processing can reveal what was hidden, and how much room Ms. Spitzer's images leave for individual association and interpretation. I am thrilled and very happy about our new series of images of buildings at the University of Vienna. Christian Falk Pastner
Seeing a motif that I know and love in a new light, in a new composition, was an impressive experience for me. Through her reinterpretation of color, Ms. Spitzer has succeeded in creating a synthesis of naturalism and expressionism that offers real added value for the viewer. Josef Smolle
What actually is reality? Is it what you see or what you think you see? The mask does not make what is hidden behind it invisible but rather more sensual, more tangible. Deprived of the familiar visual representation, the concealment serves to reinforce what is actually important, the elements that move us. Isn't every visual appearance actually a mask? Can't a concealment of the familiar also lead to an emphasis on what lies behind it? In this sense, covering up our home has given it the opportunity to reveal more of its inner emotional appeal than a conventional "real" representation could ever have done. Robert Zweiker
Viewing and reworking a cherished motif through the eyes of an artist brings out new aspects and enlivens details that were previously almost undiscovered. The focus on the essentials—a new inspiration and something very personal and individual. Thank you very much for the magnificent reworking! Katrin Brugger
It's the cladding that makes the town hall really beautiful! Only with Camouflart would I hang a picture of the town hall on my wall at home. Martin Manninger-Wünscher
Heide Spitzer creates a new and fascinating reality with her technique. She edits photos herself, removing elements and adding color. Our office building remains recognizable, yet it takes on a different character that reveals the artist's mood or new perspective. This is the case with our company building, Reval Austria. A flow of light streams through the building. We are a center of innovation and development, a learning community, and Heide Spitzer has captured this perfectly with her camouflage. The management at Reval was very pleased with the work. We are proud that our local project in Graz has now even made its way to New York City and that this company image will now be permanently displayed at Reval's headquarters. Markus Naczinsky
Heide Spitzer has managed to express the feeling we associate with our wedding castle in colors. An absolutely unique and beautiful work of art, and yet so personal, that we enjoy looking at every day! Thank you! Christina Prix
Many thanks to Heide Spitzer for this picture, which reminds me of special moments. People and works that you never forget. Ariel Alikaj
