The Camouflart series focuses on photographs of familiar motifs that are given a new visual presence through targeted overpainting and erasure. ​Everyday architectures and places remain readable as such, but are subtly transformed by painterly interventions – the addition as well as the deliberate removal of color. ​These interventions sharpen the eye for light, structure and atmosphere and open up alternative levels of perception. ​The works encourage us to look at the familiar in a new way and to make visible what has been overlooked in everyday life.
