I was born in Graz in 1975, and I live and work here. It wasn't my original wish to study art history. And yet today I can't imagine any knowledge more interesting than that of art. It has always accompanied me. Whether in art education (MUWA Museum of Perception), in organizing exhibitions of young local artists at the NOVA Gallery, during my internship with Erwin Wurm, or in my own private explorations.

The Once Twice series consists of photographs in which an analogue cross-fade represents the artistic imagery. ​It is created solely by "triggering at the right moment", without the use of multiple exposures or subsequent editing. ​As a result, the fade becomes a means that opens up a new understanding of the image and questions both the perception of reality and the role of photography and authorship on several levels. ​The works create a state of suspension between visibility and disappearance. ​Several layers of images overlap without clearly separating. ​Figures, architectures and sculptures no longer appear as fixed motifs, but as fragments of memory that interpenetrate each other. ​Reality seems broken, as if it were simultaneously composed of different times and perspectives.

Irgendwann habe ich begonnen, Fotografie und Malerei miteinander zu verschmelzen. Daraus ist Camouflart entstanden. Die Verbindung von Fotografie und Malerei eröffnet einen erweiterten Bildraum, in dem dokumentarische Wirklichkeit und subjektive Interpretation ineinandergreifen. Fotografische Motive dienen als Ausgangspunkt, werden bei den Camouflagen durch malerische Eingriffe, aber auch Löschung der Druckerfarbe transformiert, überlagert oder kommentiert. So entsteht ein hybrides Bildverständnis, das Fotografie nicht als Abschluss, sondern als offenen Prozess begreift. Das übergreifende Konzept verbindet die subtile Transformation vertrauter Motive mit einer bewussten Einbindung von Material, Raum und Wahrnehmung. Auch sie wurden bei mehreren Ausstellungen gezeigt und befinden sich im öffentlichen und privaten Besitz.
